COMMUNITY GRIEVANCE
At Acre Impact Capital, we strive to ensure our investment activities do not adversely affect stakeholders, including project beneficiaries, communities near our project sites, contracted employees, supply chain workers, biodiversity and the environment.
We value feedback from all stakeholders and encourage you to voice any concerns or complaints related to our investment activities, so we can address them promptly and effectively.
What constitutes a grievance?
Individuals or organizations are invited to contact us if they believe that our activities have negatively impacted them, their communities, properties, or the environment, or if they feel they have been treated unfairly.
Examples of grievances include:

Negative impacts on local residents, such as excessive noise, traffic disruptions, or other disturbances.

Damage to private or communal assets.

Environmental harm resulting from construction or operational activities.

Practices that endanger the health, safety, or security of workers or local populations.

Loss of livelihood or access to essential resources due to project activities.
How to submit a grievance?

Our grievance handling process

Acknowledgment: We will acknowledge receipt of your complaint within 3 to 5 business days, unless submitted anonymously.

Investigation: We will investigate your grievance, which may involve contacting you for further information.

Resolution: Upon completing the investigation, we will inform you of our findings and proposed actions. If the issue does not pertain to our activities or complies with relevant international standards, we will explain this in writing. Otherwise, we will outline steps to address the grievance.

Follow-Up: We may reach out later to ensure no further issues persist.

​Confidentiality and anonymity
If you prefer your grievance to remain confidential, we will ensure your identity is protected and only shared with the investigation team. Should anonymity be requested, we will still examine the issue; however, it may limit our ability to investigate thoroughly or provide feedback.
